These contests provide students a way to examine America's history along with their own experiences in society, and express in either written form via Patriots Pen for students in grades 6-8, or verbally via Voice of Democracy for students in grades 9-12.  These programs provide scholarship money for winners, and chances to progress from the post onto the national level.

The teacher contest allows for those certified/licensed elementary, junior high and high school teachers to be recognized for curriculum that focuses on citizenship education topics.  The post winner will go on to compete towards the national level and three outstanding teachers will be recognized at the conclusion.

The Public Servant Award is open in five categories, Law Enforcement, Fire Fighter, EMT, 911 Dispatcher and Explosive Ordinance Disposal Technician.

Congratulations to our winners and to all that participated in this years contest, please be sure to watch the website for information on when the contest opens for next year.
