Bob Munsey
Quartermaster - Army

Bob Munsey served in the U.S. Army and was stationed all over the USA, Germany and Korea. He enlisted in the Army in 1980 and served 3 years and left for college. He reenlisted in 1985 and spent the next 23 years for a total of 26 years, and six months all with Armor units from Tanker driver to gunner, tank Commander, Platoon Sergeant and First Sergeant. He was deployed to Desert Shield (Saudi Arabia) and Desert Storm (Iraq). After 9-11 he was deployed to Iraq (03-04) in the Sunni Triangle for 13 months. In 2007-2008 he deployed to Afghanistan serving as an Embedded Training Team Sergeant Major. He returned and retired at Fort Riley, KS in 2008. He was awarded the Korean Defense Service Medal, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Iraqi and Afghanistan Campaign medals.

He joined the VFW in 2010 at Post 4055 , is a life member and has served as the Post Junior Vice, Commander and Quartermaster. He has also served as the District Adjutant. He resides in Platte City with his Wife Terri.
